We are selling our 1968 Cal 34 that has only ever been in freshwater. The boat is currently in the water and we are happy to provide a tour. Comes with a cradle/trailer. Indoor winter storage for the 2024-2025 off season has been paid for. The slip has also been paid for through October 15th, 2024. We have lived on the boat since we bought it and performed several upgrades in order to get this weekender racer/cruiser into a liveaboard racer cruiser. We generally go sailing anytime we see 5+ knots of wind all while living on the boat in the Straits of Mackinaw. This is our first sailboat, we wanted an affordable option to understand if we could live this lifestyle. Now that we feel comfortable we are hoping to sell the boat, and buy something larger on the east coast in order to sail year round.

We generally see 6-7 knots under the main and genoa with 12+ knots of wind. Both sails are in good shape. The boat comes with several extra sails including an asymmetrical spinnaker. Boat has a rebuilt Atomic 4. The Atomic 4 is a beast, starts right up. Comes with step by step guide for winterization and all tools to keep this thing running clean.

We have made extensive upgrades to the boat, we also had the boat surveyed before purchase in 2023. Here is a list of the upgrades (survey attached):

We leaned into the 1968 year by decorating the interior with 1968 themed artwork. Including an old 1968 Cal 34 Advert.

We love the boat, but we don't want to spend the winter not sailing so would like to try and sell it. Perfect world, we could buy another boat and sail it up here for the next season. The area is incredible and so are all the people at the marina. Really hoping we can find someone that shares the same love for sailing and the area! The boat is a 1968 so although you might see this large list of upgrades, there are still upgrades to be done. All boats are a project and I'm happy to explain the long list of things we still are working on and want to upgrade. Hope to hear from you, thanks for checking out the post.

If you just want a racer cruiser, I can rip out the electrical components and drop the price. I've built everything to be permanent but also removable in case of emergencies.
